Legal Issues and other

Some words about the legal issues doing this. Apple's lisens policy states that you cannot install OSX on an nonmac computer or a nonmac hardware, even if you buy a legal copy of the OS.

to use an Intel or amd based computer ment for other OS than mac is not an alternativ to a real mac, a real mac will ofcourse be much more stable and reliable. You also get support from apple.

The search

Started search for a torrent or something for a premade iso of an dvd that was made or set up for the purpose. I found a universal DVD made for INTEL and AMD system, that I burned at 8X speed, did this to try to avoid read and write errors.

Inserted the DVD and............ i have to go to work so i will continue later :-)

The preps

First of all, i do this experiement because of fun, not because i want a cheap mac. I have an AMD dual core computer where i want to install OSX Leopard (10.5) I did the following:

1. in BIOS a made the DVD as the primary boot device
2. DVD-ROM was set to primary with the jumper
3. I installed a HD 150 GB SATA. formatted as FAT32
